REGINE ABEL

She heard Fate’s call from across the stars.

The Syllens become Mirella’s obsession from the moment she discovers their existence, and she dedicates her life to studying them. Today, after centuries of being dormant, the mythical species finally awakens, and she is in the front row to meet them. Despite the tragedy that brings them together, once she lays eyes on Taelen, she knows he is who Fate always intended for her.

The last thing Taelen needs is to deal with a new wave of off-worlder colonizers. But as soon as he stirs from the Long Sleep, he finds himself not only contending with the humans and their deadly schemes, but entangled with Mirella, a delicate female with sun-filled hair. Why would the Goddess pair him with one of those evil creatures? And yet, as they join forces to eradicate the menace, the bond between Taelen and Mirella is undeniable. Even the land claims her.

As even more insidious attacks threaten the very survival of the Syllens, can the two of them prevail, or will the clash between their worlds tear them apart?

NOTE
It is highly recommended to read I Married Kayog first as the Syllens are introduced there with important context that will let you better appreciate this book.
